Sadie Amara Calvano hails from America and is best known for her role as actress Violet Plunkett, in CBS' sitcom Mom. Calvano was born in California and initially was attracted to gymnastics. She decided, later on to follow a career of acting. She made her screen debut in the year 2010 with a segment of CBS series "NCIS". The following year her first major-screen debut was in the biographical drama film J Edgar. She is one of the hottest actresses in recent years. In 2011, she received a Young Artist Award nomination for Best Actress in a Television Series, Guest Actress 11-15. In 2013, for the role of a guest on Disney XD's "Kickin' it comedy show She was also nominated for the Young Artist Award. Calvano was an integral part of the cast of 'Mom' in its first three seasons and appeared in several episodes of the final season. The actress won the Gracie Allen Award in 2015 for Best Female Actor - Rising Star due to her performance in 'Mom'.
